Nutritional Status Tools

Materials used for determining the nutritional status of the children to be enrolled in Hapag-Asa.

This table is used to compute for the age in months of the children intended to be included in the feeding. Every table corresponds to the date when the child is weighed. Thus, if a child is weighed October 30, 2008, the table to be checked against the birthdate will be the table with a title of October 2008.
The months in the left most columns of each table corredponds to the month when the child was born. While the years above is the indicate the year the child was born.
To check for the age in months of the child, go to the table which corresponds to your date of weighing and then locate the month and year of birth of the child. The value where the month and year intersect is the age in months of the child.
NOTE: If the day of birth of the child is higher than the day of weighing, deduct 1 month from the value indicated in the table. This is because the higher value of the day of birth of the child means that the day has not been reached yet.
Example:

Birthdate: December 5, 2002

Date of Weighing: October 2, 2008

Found value from the table: 70 months

But since it is still "2" the day "5" is not yet reached thus "2" is still lacking 3 days to   complete 1 month.

FINAL AGE in MONTHS: 69

Standards used to compare and validate whether the child intended to be included in the feeding is under the below normal status. The reference standards were adopted from NCHS/WHO Reference Data, 1978.
To use this table, the age in months and the weight of the child in kilos must already been determined. The column at the left most part shows the age in months of the child.
To validate if a child should be included in the feeding, the weight should fall under the columns of the Below Normal (Low) or Below Normal (Very Low/Severe) depending if the child is a boy or a girl.
If the weight fall under the Normal and Above Normal categories, the child will have to be excluded in the feeding.
Example:
Child Name: George
Sex: Female
Age in months: 69
Weight in kilograms: 13 kg
Nutritional Status: Below Normal Low or BNL
Thus, George should be included in the feeding.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
