Training of New Implementing Partners

April 15-23, 2008 – a series of training were conducted to organizations, communities, and institutions which signified interest in implementing the Hapag-Asa Integrated Nutrition Program. These soon-to-be partners of Hapag-Asa program include two schools from New Corella, Davao del Norte namely Suawon and Cabidianan Elementary Schools, Bukidnon Tribal Filipinos Foundation, ASPhil CDO chapter, and Brgy. Sinuda, Kitaotao, Bukidnon. Each group composed of at least 20 participants from different fields attended a half-day training on the program components; organizational, implementation and reportorial procedures and Vitameal usage.ticipants and the facilitators all believed in the goal of the program.

DSWD’s SEA-K Program Expansion to Region IV-A Pondo ng Pinoy Dioceses

After the successful launching and operation of Self Employment Assistance-Kaunlaran (SEA-K) program of DSWD in 3 parishes under the Dioceses of Cubao and Novaliches, the partnership is now being expanded to other Pondo ng Pinoy Dioceses within the Region IV-A area.
During the 2nd week of March, the plan for program expansion was tackled in a meeting held between the office of Regional Director Honorita B. Bayudan and the Hapag-Asa Secretariat. The three dioceses targeted for the expansion are the Dioceses of Antipolo, San Pablo and Imus, each already having their proposed groups of Hapag-Asa parents.
